About Delran, NJ
Delran is a township located in Burlington County, New Jersey. Delran was incorporated in 1880 from portions of Cinnaminson Township; portions of Delran were later taken to form Riverside Township in 1895. Delran’s name is a combination of the two waterways that intersect in the township — the Delaware River and Rancocas Creek. Prior to the arrival of European settlers, the area of present-day Delran was inhabited by the Lenni Lenape, also known as the Delaware Native Americans.
Frequently Asked Questions about Criminal Defense in Delran, NJ
Although you have the constitutional right to represent yourself in your criminal case, it is highly advisable that you retain the assistance of an experienced criminal defense attorney to represent you. A criminal defense attorney will have a thorough knowledge of the criminal laws and experience dealing with the criminal justice system. It is more likely that you will obtain the best possible outcome under the circumstances of your case when you have a skilled criminal defense lawyer investigating your case and advocating and negotiating on your behalf.
Even if you believe that you have been falsely accused of a crime, that does not necessarily mean that you will have your criminal charges dropped or that you will receive a verdict of not guilty at a trial. Unfortunately, the criminal justice system is not perfect and innocent people are rarely convicted of crimes they did not commit. Instead, it is important that you contact a Delran criminal defense lawyer as soon as possible. Your attorney will be able to uncover and identify evidence in your favor or show that the evidence in the state’s case is so weak that your charges were filed on insufficient legal grounds and should be dismissed.
