About Willingboro Township, NJ
Willingboro Township is a township located in Burlington County, New Jersey. Originally formed as “Wellingborrow” in 1688, the township was formally incorporated in 1798. Largely a rural community during the 19th century and first half of the 20th century, in the 1950s residential developer Levitt & Sons purchased a substantial tract of land in Willingboro Township to construct the first “Levittown” planned community in New Jersey, following the construction of similar communities in New York and Pennsylvania. Although Willingboro Township initially changed its name to Levittown, it soon changed back to Willingboro after experiencing confusion with nearby Levittown, Pennsylvania. Today, Willingboro Township is a diverse suburb of Philadelphia.
Frequently Asked Questions about Personal Injury in Willingboro Township, NJ
If you were hurt at work, you normally cannot file a personal injury claim against your employer; instead, you are normally limited to filing a workers’ compensation claim with your employer. However, you may be able to pursue a personal injury claim in addition to workers’ compensation if your work injury was the fault of a third party outside of your company. For example, if you were injured at work because of a defective piece of equipment or machinery, or if you were involved in a motor vehicle accident while driving for work, you can file a third party personal injury claim against those liable parties.
If you were involved in an accident, you should remember to document evidence from the scene by taking photos or video and speaking to any eyewitnesses. You should also seek medical attention as soon as possible to identify any injuries you may have suffered in the accident. Make sure to follow your treatment instructions as well. Keep copies of bills or invoices or other records of expenses and losses that you have incurred because of your injuries.
